Don’t ever say this to a cheerleader, you will just embarrass yourself.

MY LIFE IS CHEERLEADING: I can't stand this

t-o-p-g-u-n:

When people call you out on “not being legit” or “not being a real cheerleader” just because your not level 5. I’m so sorry that it takes me a little bit longer than everyone else to get skills and that I’ve suffered too many injuries to advance during competition season. I am a solid level 4 cheerleader. What is so wrong with that? Whether someone is level 1 or level 6 it shouldn’t determine the passion they have for this sport that we all love. One of my coaches really opened my eyes to this last practice. In top gun and other elite gyms you need to in most cases have all the skills for a certain level. So if I don’t have full but I have jumps to back I’m in a way making it harder for my team to succeed. I’m not saying that there isn’t exceptions because sometimes teams need good bases, flyers, etc. but whatever level you are, if you have passion for this sport, don’t let anyone tell you you aren’t “legit”.
